Hello everyone,
I will be developing a course and a research plan for a wildlife/nature preserve in the Yucatan Mexico. The preserve is known as Kaxil Kuic and it is an academic institution partnership reserve. Go to http://www.kiuic.org/ to learn more.
This October I have been given permission to survey the property for bryophytes (diversity is not high). After the survey, we will share the information with the preserve, but it will be published too.
Due to the nature of collecting and identifying bryophytes, I have been given a grant to take an additional bryologist with me on this survey. If you are interested, please send your CV to me directly. Your travel and room/board would be covered if you participated. The trip would be 1 week during the Roanoke College Fall Break.
Thank you for your time and interest!
